Star Trek IV was, up until Star Trek (2009), the highest grossing Star Trek feature for quite a long time. The story was described by producer Harve Bennett as something “nice.” It features no space battles or violence or death. And it is perhaps the most humorous of the Star Trek films.
The Voyage Home is an important collection to any Star Trek fan’s library.
