Star Trek The Next Generation, also commonly referred to as Star Trek TNG, surprised a lot of people when it debuted in the mid-1980s. Nobody thought a new Star Trek series could be successful since the original series was so iconic. Of course, surprising all the experts, Star Trek TNG became a smash hit.

For a while I had my favorite Star Trek TNG episodes recorded on VHS so that I could rewatch them easily. But, as the years went by, and those commercials started to seem so ancient, I invested in the Star Trek TNG DVD. My Star Trek TNG DVD collection is now complete. And I couldn’t imagine not having TNG on DVD.

The complete series is now available as a package as are each individual season sets. If you are still operating with VHS copies of your the series you may want to go with the complete series on DVD. If you are purchasing your Star Trek TNG DVD as a gift, then you might want to consider individual seasons. Note: I think seasons three and four represent TNG’s best work.
